Softball, JV Assistant Coach

About the Role

Assistant softball coaching position at Briar Woods High School for the spring season (February–May).

Responsibilities

• Work cooperatively with the head athletic coach to operate a well-structured program.
• Collaborate with the athletic department.
• Attend all staff meetings prescribed by the head athletic coach during the season.
• Carry out specific duties designated by the head athletic coach.
• Recommend equipment and supplies needed for the sports program.
• Recommend disciplinary actions for players violating training rules and procedures.
• Foster among athletes a desire to win, good sportsmanship, personal pride, and pride for their school and community.
• Perform other duties related to the position as requested by the high school principal and/or athletic director.

Requirements

• Coaching experience or participation in softball at the high school or college level.
• Completion of CPR and First Aid training or enrollment in a current CPR and First Aid training course.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Experience as a teacher or classified employee in Loudoun County Public Schools.
• Preferred: Virginia Teaching License candidate or a full-time classified employee for Loudoun County Public Schools.
