Responsibilities
- Provide teaching and instruction to student-athletes.
- Develop and implement a focused and productive player development plan(s).
- Assess and evaluate talent and recruitment of athletes.
- Support team travel arrangements.
- Create scouting reports and pre-competition evaluations of opponents.
- Work with the head coach to implement fundraising opportunities.
- Mentor graduate assistants and volunteer assistant coaches.
- Adhere to all rules and regulations of Ball State University, the Mid-American Conference, and the NCAA.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Science, Kinesiology, Physical Education, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Collegiate playing experience at a competitive level and/or softball coaching experience.
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable under the university's auto fleet policy.
