Responsibilities

• Provide teaching and instruction to student-athletes.
• Develop and implement a focused and productive player development plan(s).
• Assess and evaluate talent and recruitment of athletes.
• Support team travel arrangements.
• Create scouting reports and pre-competition evaluations of opponents.
• Work with the head coach to implement fundraising opportunities.
• Mentor graduate assistants and volunteer assistant coaches.
• Adhere to all rules and regulations of Ball State University, the Mid-American Conference, and the NCAA.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Science, Kinesiology, Physical Education, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Collegiate playing experience at a competitive level and/or softball coaching experience.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable under the university's auto fleet policy.
