About the Role
The Assistant Softball Coach reports directly to the Head Coach and is responsible for supporting the softball program. Strong organizational and communication skills, along with current knowledge of NCAA rules, are essential.
Responsibilities
- Assist in organizing and administering the Softball program
- Maintain a competitive NCAA Division I Softball program
- Support the academic success of student-athletes
- Administer the program in a way that promotes the health, safety, and welfare of student-athletes
- Ensure compliance with NCAA rules
- Report violations of NCAA rules to the Director of Athletics or his/her designee
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
- Previous experience as a NCAA assistant coach, or previous experience as a collegiate head coach at the NCAA Division II or III, NAIA or NJCAA level, is preferred
- Evidence of strong organizational and communication skills
- Current knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations
- A commitment to student-athlete welfare and academic success
