Assistant Coach – Softball
About the role
The Assistant Softball Coach position at Tusculum University is responsible for assisting the head coach in implementing and managing all phases of a competitive Division II program in accordance with NCAA and Tusculum University regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in recruiting and retaining high-quality student-athletes
- Develop and implement training programs for players
- Manage team finances and fundraising efforts
- Participate in game planning and strategy discussions
- Work closely with the athletic department to ensure compliance with NCAA and Tusculum University regulations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- 1+ years of collegiate coaching experience, preferably at an NCAA institution
- Ability to manage budgets and fundraising
- Record of success in attracting quality student-athletes in a small college environment

Pay
The salary range for this position is $30,000 - $40,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is typically 15-20 hours per week during the academic year, with additional hours during the summer months.
