Assistant Coach – Softball

About the role

The Assistant Softball Coach position at Tusculum University is responsible for assisting the head coach in implementing and managing all phases of a competitive Division II program in accordance with NCAA and Tusculum University regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in recruiting and retaining high-quality student-athletes
• Develop and implement training programs for players
• Manage team finances and fundraising efforts
• Participate in game planning and strategy discussions
• Work closely with the athletic department to ensure compliance with NCAA and Tusculum University regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
• 1+ years of collegiate coaching experience, preferably at an NCAA institution
• Ability to manage budgets and fundraising
• Record of success in attracting quality student-athletes in a small college environment

Pay

The salary range for this position is $30,000 - $40,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is typically 15-20 hours per week during the academic year, with additional hours during the summer months.
