Assistant Shop Manager

LV Petroleum is excited to announce an opening for an Assistant Shop Manager at our location. Our Truck Services division is dedicated to providing high-quality service and support to our customers, ensuring they're back on the road quickly and efficiently. Position Overview: As the Assistant Shop Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Truck Services Manager in overseeing the daily operations of our Truck Shop. Your responsibilities will include supervising our talented team of technicians, ensuring exemplary customer service, and maintaining operational standards that align with our company's goals. Key Responsibilities: Assist in managing overall operations of the Truck Services department, ensuring compliance with all company policies and proceduresSupervise and train staff, promoting a culture of teamwork, accountability, and excellence in customer serviceMonitor workflow and provide support in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy-duty trucks and trailersEnsure that all equipment is maintained properly and all safety standards are followedAssist in managing inventory, ordering supplies, and ensuring that all services are performed timely and accuratelyEngage with customers to address concerns and provide solutions promptlyHelp in achieving financial goals by monitoring expenses and supporting revenue growth initiativesPerform the duties of the Truck Services Manager in their absence Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in management or a related field is preferred3+ years of experience in a truck service or automotive environment, preferably in a supervisory roleStrong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate teamsExcellent communication and customer service skillsBasic knowledge of financial performance metrics, including P&L managementProficient in the use of computer systems and software applicable to service tracking and inventory managementAvailability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysA valid driver's license is required Benefits Weekly PayHealth Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)
