About the role
The Shop Foreman will oversee the workflow through the shop and supervise technicians performing routine maintenance tasks.
Responsibilities
- Supervise technicians changing a vehicle's oil, checking transmission fluid and other fluid levels, inspecting various belts and filters, and checking air levels and gauges.
Qualifications
- Ability to identify problems quickly
- Knowledge of automobiles
- Effective analytical and communication skills
- Strong reading, computer, and mathematics skills
- Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
- Comfortable operating electronic diagnostic equipment
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 5 years in service department
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills
- Positive, friendly attitude
