About the role

Texas Roadhouse is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to assist the Service Manager in managing the Front of House daily operations. Ideal candidates will have a passion for Legendary Food, Legendary Service, and Legendary People.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees service in the Front of House
  • In conjunction with all management, enforces compliance with all employment policies in area of responsibility
  • Oversees/approves all Front of House side work
  • Provides/oversees thorough training
  • Works during peak business times to set the pace in the Front of House
  • Manages through “hands on” supervision of the restaurant
  • Ensures 100% table visitation of customers to gather customer insights and assist Service Manager in developing a sales strategy
  • Leads by example to help develop employees and assistants
  • Helps to cross-train employees
  • Oversees scheduling of designated departments, as directed by the Service Manager
  • Develops promotions (incentives) to drive sales and conducts alley rallies, as directed by Service Manager
  • Manages compliance with Responsible Alcohol Service training requirements
  • Understands and practices safe food handling procedures
  • Ensures that the cleanliness of the restaurant and safety of our guests are maintained at all times
  • Helps to control the guest flow
  • Assists with liquor inventory & ordering
  • Aids in building sales for the Local Store Marketer
  • Maintains the restaurant’s culture and lives our core values every day

Qualifications

  • Possesses a passion for Legendary Food, Legendary Service, and Legendary People
  • Has a strong understanding of responsible alcohol service
  • Exhibits excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Is able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Has a background in food service or hospitality
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes

  • Knowledge of food service operations and procedures
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and remain calm under pressure
