Assistant Service Manager

About the Role

Morgan Properties is hiring an Assistant Service Manager to help lead the maintenance team at High Acres — your clear path toward becoming a Service Manager. If you bring a "Whatever It Takes" attitude and strong HVAC, electrical, and plumbing skills, we'll invest in your development every step of the way.

What You'll Do

• Lead and mentor the team in diagnosing problems and making quality repairs.
• Bring expert troubleshooting across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliance, and preventative maintenance.
• Partner with the Service Manager on day-to-day operations with a team-first mindset.
• Build and manage the on-call, preventative, make-ready, and work-order schedules.
• Inspect community buildings (including vacant units) and support sister communities — great exposure for your growth into leadership.

Compensation & Perks

• Base Pay: $25.00–$26.00 per hour
• Up to 50% Rent Discount
• $1,500 Sign-On Bonus + Shared Renewal Commissions
• Morgan Essentials: $300 quarterly + $15/day On-Call Appreciation

Schedule

• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Paid rotating on-call (participation required; be ready for emergency events)

What We're Looking For

• Active, valid driver's license and personal vehicle
• HVAC certification required — or the willingness to earn it with our support.
• EPA/CFC a strong plus.
• 2–4 years of related maintenance experience, a one-year certificate, or equivalent.
