About the role

The Assistant Service Manager at American Motors in Commerce City is responsible for driving service sales, building strong customer relationships, and providing technical support to ensure the efficient operation of the commercial truck service department.

Responsibilities

• Drive Service Sales: Identify and pursue opportunities to up-sell services, maintenance plans, and parts to increase revenue.
• Customer Relations: Serve as a primary point of contact for commercial clients, addressing inquiries, providing estimates, and ensuring a smooth service experience from drop-off to pick-up.
• Technical Liaison: Diagnose issues, explain repairs, and provide technical guidance to technicians using in-depth knowledge of commercial truck systems.
• Operational Support: Assist the Service Manager with daily operations, including scheduling, workflow management, and quality control.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with parts, sales, and administrative teams to facilitate seamless communication and exceptional service delivery.
• Problem Solving: Proactively address customer concerns and resolve issues efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

• Proven Commercial Truck Mechanical Background: Extensive hands-on experience with various commercial trucks and their complex systems, including diagnostic proficiency.
• Sales Acumen: Natural ability to identify customer needs, present solutions, and close sales, with experience in service upsell strategies.
• Exceptional Communication Skills: Clear, concise, and professional communication, both written and verbal, with customers, technicians, and management.
