About the role

Tom Wood Honda is seeking an Assistant Service Advisor to support the service team in delivering a best-in-class automotive service experience. This role works closely with Service Advisors, Technicians, and customers to ensure efficient service operations, accurate documentation, and exceptional communication throughout the repair process.

Responsibilities

- Deliver a warm, professional, concierge-level greeting to every client. - Actively listen to customer concerns and clearly explain service recommendations. - Maintain consistent communication regarding repair status, timelines, and additional needs. - Build long-term customer relationships to encourage loyalty and repeat business. - Accurately write repair orders reflecting customer concerns and technician findings. - Collaborate with technicians and parts departments to ensure efficient workflow. - Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for repairs and maintenance. - Review completed work with customers and explain findings clearly and confidently. - Recommend maintenance and repair services based on manufacturer guidelines and vehicle condition. - Achieve service sales goals while maintaining honesty, transparency, and trust. - Promote dealership programs, warranties, and service packages.

Requirements

- Previous Automotive Service Advisor experience required. - Strong knowledge of automotive systems, maintenance, and repair processes. - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency with dealership management systems (Xtime, Dealertrack, etc.). - Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy. - Professional appearance and demeanor consistent with a luxury brand. - Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
