Assistant Salon Manager, Licensed Cosmetologist

SmartStyle Salon, located inside Walmart, is a premier salon offering high‑quality hair services. The salon is part of Requis Salons, one of the largest salon franchises in the United States with over 500 employees nationwide.

About the Role

• Provide exceptional leadership and guest service.
• Understand each guest’s needs and deliver quality consultations.
• Perform requested services—including haircuts, color, highlights, waxing, and specialty treatments—in an efficient and professional manner.

Qualifications

• Current cosmetology or barber license as required by state regulations.
• Desire to lead and assist a salon manager.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Tech‑savvy with the ability to perform administrative tasks, such as closing out the system at the end of the day.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and basic math.

Physical Requirements

• Good eyesight, including close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to stay active: standing, moving around, lifting, and reaching throughout the workday.
• Comfort with lifting, bending, and performing repetitive movements; occasional lifting of 10–25 lb.
• Tolerance for chemicals and fragrances used in salon treatments.
