Responsibilities

• Support the daily operations of the salon
• Encourage and support the team of stylists
• Lead by example in terms of technical haircutting skills and customer service
• Communicate effectively and maintain a positive, motivating attitude
• Organize and manage the salon to ensure smooth operations
• Grow your leadership skills and take on more responsibilities

Requirements

• A valid Cosmetology and/or Barber License (requirements vary by state/province)
• Strong technical haircutting skills and great customer service
• A team-first mindset with a desire to encourage and support others
• Clear communication skills and a positive, motivating attitude
• Organization, flexibility, and the desire to help keep the salon running smoothly
• An interest in growing your leadership skills and taking on more responsibility

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role is not always necessary
• The role combines cutting hair with supporting daily salon operations and helping the team succeed
• This role is often a stepping stone toward Salon Manager or other leadership positions
• You will receive training in management and operations through Great Clips University (GCU), along with ongoing support and instruction from salon management
