Responsibilities

• Act as the heartbeat of the salon alongside the Salon Leader, supporting salon operations and providing leadership and tools for success.
• Lead by example to help the Salon Leader and teammates increase their clientele and business profitability.
• Teach stylists the business aspects of salon operations and ensure the highest quality of hair care services.
• Coach and mentor salon employees to foster a positive work environment.
• Support the Salon Leader with recruiting, hiring, training, and handling conflicts and client complaints professionally.
• Perform administrative tasks, including closing out the system at the end of the day.

Requirements

• Current cosmetology/barber license as required by state/provincial regulations.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Tech-savvy with basic administrative skills (reading, writing, and math).
• Ability to travel to mandatory meetings and training sessions, including overnight travel.

Qualifications

• Lead by example with exceptional customer service and professionalism in resolving challenges.
• Experience in training, supporting leadership, developing teams, and creating a positive work environment.
• Strong focus on business and technical guidance while keeping the salon’s profitability in mind.

Physical Requirements

• Good eyesight, including close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus for detailed hair observation.
• Comfortable with physical activity: standing, lifting, bending, and performing repetitive movements.
• Ability to occasionally lift 10-25 lbs.
• Tolerance for exposure to chemicals and fragrances used in salon treatments.
