About the Role
At DKNY, Assistant Managers play a key role in driving business success by working directly with Store Managers to promote operational effectiveness and ensure customers remain the top priority. They deliver superior customer service and serve as role models to inspire associates. Assistant Managers also ensure the store is clean, well-organized, and meets visual merchandising standards to attract customers.
Responsibilities
- Sales: Meet personal sales goals and motivate the team to drive store sales performance.
- Service: Provide exemplary customer service and ensure the team follows suit. Maximize profitability through excellent customer service. Maintain clean customer areas and present merchandise according to company standards.
- Leadership: Direct associates to ensure floor coverage and completion of daily tasks.
- Training: Assist in developing a sales-focused team. Ensure new associates are thoroughly trained and oriented to company standards. Monitor associate success and provide coaching to meet company expectations. Foster a positive team environment and recognize associate achievements to boost morale.
Qualifications
- Two or more years of successful specialty retail experience in a leadership role; fashion retail preferred.
- Post-secondary education encouraged; retail management degree a plus.
- Experience in client outreach, appointment setting, and maintaining a relevant client book/network.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills to promote effective sales and customer relations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and qualities.
