Assistant Rowing Coach, Upper School

Job Responsibilities

• Implement instruction and training programs to prepare student-athletes for competition
• Collaborate with coaching staff to plan, organize and run daily practices
• Attend all practices and competitions at the direction of the Head Rowing Coach and Director of Athletics
• Supervise student-athletes during all team activities
• Comply with Sacred Heart and sport-specific organization policies and procedures
• Aid in maintaining equipment
• Communicate effectively with parents and students

Qualifications

• Experience with the sport at the college level, or equivalent
• Expertise in teaching sport-specific skills and strategy
• The ability to relate and communicate effectively with young women
• Energetic, approachable, knowledgeable, and eager to be an active member of a dynamic athletic and learning community

Benefits

• Flexible schedule starting August 24, 2026, typical practice times are 4:00-6:00pm, Monday-Friday; occasional weekends for races
• Occasional weekend travel for races and morning training sessions
