As an Assistant Roadmaster, you’ll be charged with ensuring the safety, reliability, and optimal condition of track infrastructure across your assigned area. Collaborating with the Roadmaster, you’ll deliver innovative, cost-efficient engineering solutions while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory guidelines. Your expertise will be vital in sustaining a safe, high-performing rail network that enables smooth, uninterrupted train service and preserves our infrastructure integrity. You will consistently uphold all Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) standards, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to safety and excellence.

Responsibilities

• Support the Roadmaster in enforcing CPKC safety practices, policies, and procedures among all direct reports
• Contribute to achieving compliance, service, and financial outcomes
• Oversee, coordinate, or execute emergency responses to service disruptions within the geographic territory, while maintaining and implementing seasonal plans for winter, spring floods, and fire management
• Manage employees according to the terms of the collective agreement and resolve disputes or grievances as necessary
