About The Role

The Assistant Residence Manager assumes leadership responsibilities including daily program development, documentation oversight, staff supervision and scheduling, implementation, and facilitation of program models, guiding the youth development and treatment process, and ensuring and facilitating communication between all shifts.

Other duties include:

  • Ensuring all staff are up to date with all ACS/Rising Ground required training
  • Completing weekly staff schedules to support program day-to-day, facility transports/outings
  • Ensuring youths supported are made available for all medical and mental health appointments including individual and family therapy sessions, med management, and psychological appointments
  • Conducting ongoing documented supervision with staff and co-facilitating weekly staff meetings in coordination with the Residence Manager
  • In the absence of the Residence Manager, Assistant Manager will assume the leadership role
  • Conducting site inspections on a routine basis and ensuring standards are being met; submitting work orders for repairs
  • Reviewing all logs twice a week and reviewing incident reports followed by a supervisory review/note
  • Conducting weekly random video reviews on a regular basis and following up with staff and conducting daily medication audits to ensure youth have an adequate amount of medication on hand
  • Confirming medication delivery with staff on site
  • Updating the MAR as needed when youth medications are changed or discontinued and communicating with all parties regarding youth medication when required
  • Conducting safety and emergency procedures (e.g., fire drills), working in conjunction with the Residence Manager to ensure all PREA standards are adhered to and maintaining the ability to seek or become certified in required training (e.g., SCM, MYSI, fire safety)
  • Completing JYF Core training in addition to supporting new employees with the checklist and ensuring group meetings are being conducted while facilitating groups as needed
  • The ability to perform SCM restraints

Other related duties as assigned by supervisor

Your Qualifications

  • Minimum requirement: High School diploma; Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience working with youth and families in residential settings
  • Knowledge of Child Welfare & Juvenile Justice
  • Written & Verbal Communication Skill
  • Supervisory Responsibility: Yes

Work Environment: Field/Corporate Office

Position Type/Expected Hours Of Work: Full time exempt position, 35 hours per week. Daily schedule and hours will fluctuate to meet the needs of the programs.
