Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and implementation of the residence program.
- Oversee intellectually and developmentally disabled adults, facilitating daily care, enhancing personal development, fostering self-esteem, and meeting individualized goals.
- Participate in various training programs recommended by Devereux, including but not limited to New DirectionsTraining, First Aid Training, SCIP-R, CPR, QPR, OSHA, Blood Bourne Pathogens, Infection Control, Student Rights, Duty to Report, Corporate Compliance, Behavioral Management Training, Accounting/Budget Training, Computer Training, Interpersonal Skills/Assertiveness Training, Time Management/OrganizationTraining, Conflict Management, Utilizing Community Resource Training, ToleranceTraining, Devereux Awareness Training, Problem Solving, Applied Behavioral Analysis, Understanding Autism, Documentation Training, CommunicationsTraining, Workers Compensation Awareness Training, Sexual Behavior and Risk Prevention Training.
- Work within a moderate level of supervision, adhering to Devereux's zero-tolerance policy for abuse and maintaining systematic measures to reduce the risk of abuse.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED with one year of related experience.
- Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree with one year of related experience preferred.
- Valid NY Drivers License.
- Flexible, patient, energetic, creative, and having a sense of humor.
- A strong passion for working with and helping children and adults with special needs.

- With HS Diploma/GED: $21.50 - $23.00 per hour.
- With BA/BS: $22.50 - $24.07 per hour.
- With MA/MS or higher: $23.50 - $25.14 per hour.
