About the role
The Chicago Center of HIV Elimination, embedded within the University of Chicago's main campus in Hyde Park, is located in Chicago's HIV epicenter. It includes 4 of the 6 communities with the highest annual diagnosis rates in the city (Washington Park, West Englewood, Greater Grand Crossing and South Shore).
Responsibilities
- Supports a portfolio of projects that may include rigorous social science evaluations and technical assistance data analysis projects.
- Aids project team members, PIs, external partners, and stakeholders in pushing projects forward and achieving research goals.
- Leads and coordinates recruitment and retention strategies across multiple projects.
- Provides support to the principal investigator and research team by recruiting subjects, designing surveys, planning and conducting individual and focus group interviews, and collecting and analyzing some qualitative and quantitative data, as necessary.
- Assists with the coordination of research activities, communications with partner agencies, and managing project deliverables.
- Takes responsibility for the following non-laboratory duties: transcribing and coding data; developing data collection instruments; presenting research; and recruiting and scheduling research subjects.
- Acquires higher-level skills and knowledge in the process.
- Supports data collection and analytical needs of research projects.
- Conducts literature reviews and helps write reports and manuscripts.
- Ensures project compliance with different policies, procedures, directives, and mandates.
Requirements
This is a grant funded position.
Qualifications
- Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.
- Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
Skills
- Experience in conducting clinical research studies.
- Experience with electronic health records (Epic).
