Responsibilities

  • Build systems and processes to reduce equipment shrinkage and loss, and monitor usage trends to optimize fleet allocation by location and product category.
  • Partner with Supervisors to build accurate, sustainable inventory tracking and reconciliation processes across all rental locations.
  • Oversee daily tracking of rental inventory checked out versus returned, and ensure daily reconciliation of skis, snowboards, boots, poles, helmets, demo gear, and seasonal/take-home rental inventory across all locations.
  • Audit missing, overdue, damaged, and non-returned equipment, and identify and resolve inventory discrepancies quickly.
  • Cookinate with resort services departments to ensure smooth workflow, clear communication, and a positive guest experience during high-volume periods and across rental operations resort-wide.
  • Resolve guest escalations and operational challenges calmly and professionally while serving as Manager on Duty.
  • Coach and support rental Supervisors, providing guidance on daily operational priorities and helping them solve operational issues.
  • Support training and development of Supervisors, and assist with performance coaching and accountability conversations.
  • Handle escalated guest concerns and resolve rental disputes professionally, including billing disputes, incorrect equipment assignments, missing reservations, and late return concerns.
  • Support service recovery efforts and ensure a high standard of guest satisfaction across all rental interactions.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous supervisory or lead experience in a rental operation, ski resort, retail, or hospitality environment.
  • Working knowledge of alpine ski and snowboard rental equipment and operations.
  • Experience with inventory tracking, reconciliation, and loss-prevention processes.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify trends to support operational decisions.
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and support operations across more than one location.

Benefits

The wage range for this position is: from $28.00 to $33.00/hr (DOE). This is a non-benefited role. All individuals may contribute to the 401(k). An employee must work 1,000 hours in a calendar year to qualify for the discretionary match (there is a 2 year vesting cliff). All individuals accrue sick time at 1 hour per 40 hours worked to a maximum of 64 hours per year.
