About the role

Zions Bank is seeking an Assistant Relationship Officer based in Boise, Idaho, to support the commercial banking office in analyzing financial data, underwriting credits, and maintaining portfolio files.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, investigate, gather, and present financial data, tax information, and credit documentation to determine clients’ creditworthiness.
  • Perform due diligence and portfolio file maintenance to support the bank’s success.
  • Place calls to clients to enhance credit underwriting.
  • Assist with collection efforts and customer problem resolution.
  • Consult with relationship managers and portfolio managers to prepare customer information for credit review and loan presentations.
  • Provide customer service on behalf of loan officers, relationship managers, and team leaders.
  • Disburse funds and review/initiate loan documents for legal and structural compliance with bank policies and regulations.
  • Make recommendations to officers based on analysis and findings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and some experience in loan processes, credit, credit analysis, documentation, or directly related experience (a combination of education and experience may meet qualifications).
  • Basic knowledge of credit, credit analysis, and experience working with various types of loans.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, audit documentation, and solve problems.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and credit analysis software.
  • Attention to detail with consistent self-management and follow-through.
  • Proactive attitude, confidence, and desire to inspire others to achieve bank initiatives and drive loan growth.
