Expected Hiring Range: $65,000.00 – $69,500.00
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and internal pay comparison.
About The Role
Boston University’s Office of the University Registrar seeks an Assistant Registrar for Curriculum and SIS Catalog. This role works primarily to update the student information system’s course catalog and perform ongoing maintenance of MyBU, the University’s Student Information System. The Assistant Registrar collaborates with staff in the Office of the University Registrar (particularly University Bulletin), Enrollment & Student Administration, faculty, deans, and other administrative offices across Boston University, as well as external clients and vendors. This position reports to the Senior Assistant Registrar for Curriculum Management.
Responsibilities
- Provide operational support for the Curriculum process and data updates in the Student Information System’s course catalog at Boston University.
- Manage and perform daily Curriculum Management change and add requests.
- Perform ongoing quality control checks on work and departmental curriculum initiators.
- Provide periodic re-education on processes and procedures with academic departments in the schools and colleges.
- Communicate regularly and accurately with internal and external clients.
- Employ a high degree of technological skill to ensure data integrity in the Student Information System (SIS) and navigate integrated technology systems.
- Work relatively independently, set priorities in consultation with others, and maintain confidentiality of information.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 3–5 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience working in higher education and with information systems or large databases in higher education.
- Excellent customer service skills.

- Ability to maintain a high level of data entry accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.
- Methodical business process or systems thinker and problem solver.
- Ability to understand and analyze data, recognize anomalies, and apply updates methodically.
- Familiarity with data entry, data integrity, and information auditing.

Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Student Information Systems (Banner or PeopleSoft).
- Demonstrated success with project management and process improvement initiatives.
- Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.

Schedule
This position is full-time and designated as remote-local. The successful candidate must reside within a 3-hour commuting distance of the University to attend occasional in-person events as required.

The Office of the University Registrar is part of the Enrollment & Student Administration unit (ENSA). It supports the instructional and student progress endeavors of Boston University by providing quality services to students, faculty, academic and administrative departments, and the public. Responsibilities include supervising registration, evaluating transfer credit, maintaining student academic records, recording grades, issuing transcripts, verifying enrollment and graduation, issuing diplomas, assigning classrooms, producing the class schedule, scheduling final examinations, and overseeing production of the Bulletin and the Degree Advice system.
