Role Responsibilities
- Cast Help cast the vision for the sport environment throughout their region by helping field staff discover, clarify, communicate, and launch ministry in the sport environment.
- Provide consistent communication regarding all regional and organizational initiatives and updates to ensure clarity and alignment.
- Create and deliver processes, systems, and resources to equip field staff in the implementation and execution of ministry.
- Create and improve systems, processes, resources, and training in collaboration with the Regional Director of Sport.
- Collaborate with the Regional Director of Sport to help design, improve and implement systems, processes, resources, and training.
- Provide key input from the Region for national/global advisory teams.
- Connect to and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement.
- Represent the region through serving on the team with other Assistant Regional Directors of Sport to create synergy and provide organizational alignment, clarity and continuous improvement of the sport environment processes, systems and resources.
- Create connectivity outside of FCA with key regional governing bodies of sport and partnering organizations.
- Create connectivity inside of FCA with staff that lead ministry in the sport environment.
- Coach the Regional Director of Sport and the RVP with key metrics, data, and observations pertaining to the health, growth, and development of the ministry in the sport environment.
- Be available to help regional field staff with day-to-day opportunities and challenges that present themselves in the sport environment.
- Consistently remind and train regional field staff about the processes, systems and resources that exist in the sport environment.
- Listen carefully to what works and is not for each sport environment and provide feedback to the relevant EVP.
- Identify the best practices and provide feedback to the relevant Sport Environment EVP.
- Donor Advancement Connect, communicate and care for existing and prospective financial partners to ensure that the ministry is fully funded.
- This includes building a Home Team that consists of Automatic Monthly Partners (AMP) and Recurring Funding Partners (RFP).
Qualifications
Agree with, and abide by, FCA's Christian Community Statement.
Follow a spiritual rhythm including daily prayer and Bible study to seek the Lord's will for FCA.
Lead, conduct and provide spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship and living by example so they are equipped to serve others.
Connect to and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement.
Conduct yourself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA's Christian beliefs (see FCA's Christian Community Statement) at all times.
