Assistant Property Manager (Temporary 6-8 months)

Key Job Responsibilities

• Mets with prospective residents to show properties and conduct property tours as needed
• Aids in the completion of the initial rental application and preparation of leases or rental agreements
• Fosters residents' understanding of rent charges and lease issues
• Aids in the completion of annual re-certifications for all funding sources accurately and on-time to ensure compliance with applicable program/s
• Maintains complete, accurate, legible and compliant documentation and property files
• Collaborates in coordinating revenue collection in accordance with lease obligations and accounts receivable procedures
• Supports the Property Manager in performing bookkeeping functions to satisfy accounts payable, accounts receivable, timekeeping and payroll submission, and monthly reporting requirements
• Aids in conducting operational reviews and suggests/acts on corrective actions to address deficiencies
• Aids in coordinating requests for repairs or maintenance, upkeep, and refurbishment at the property

Requirements

• High school diploma (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience, preferably in an office setting
• Experience with Public Housing, Project-based Voucher, Tax Credit and Section 8 is highly-preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Advanced customer service and problem-solving skills
• Advanced organizational and time management skills
• Tech-savvy in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, action-oriented environment
• Ability to establish relationships across the organization and at various hierarchical levels
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Salary

$22.00 - $24.00/hourly
