About the role
The Assistant Property Manager assists the Property Manager in managing the property, generating satisfactory cash flow, positive resident relations, and optimal resident retention.
Responsibilities
- Processes residency inquiries and maintains records of inquiries.
- Leases apartment homes, handles telephone and in-person inquiries, conducts tours, takes/ processes applications and deposits, follows up with residents, and ensures lease renewals.
- Screens, interviews, and notifies applicants of their acceptance or denial, adhering to company procedures, EHO requirements, and applicable program regulations.
- Conducts market surveys, makes marketing recommendations, and creates promotional materials.
- Makes community contacts and participates in corporate and community outreach programs.
- Accepts and records payments, ensures financial reporting accuracy, and reports incidents and injuries.
- Manages property during the absence of the Property Manager, prepares and administers the operating budget, completes move-in and move-out inspections, and complies with regulations.
- Assists with other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum two years of progressively responsible experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in budget planning and expenses monitoring.
- Computer skills for entering reports and daily operations data.
- Knowledge of Equal Housing Opportunity (EHO) requirements and applicable program regulations.
