About the role
An Assistant Project Manager works in concert with the Project Managers to ensure projects are completed safely, on time and within approved budgets. This is accomplished by developing and maintaining effective relationships with all parties involved with the project including providing support and direction for the entire project team. Assistant Project Managers are also responsible for maintaining and communicating accurate documents including financial details of the project. Assistant Project Managers have the necessary skill sets to run and oversee smaller projects with little supervision. This is a safety sensitive position on the job site.
Responsibilities
- Support field staff in enforcing safety on project during field inspections
- Completing monthly reports accurately and on time
- Understand cost projections and how to prepare monthly report information
- Coordinate and administer Change Management to reduce risk to the company
- Support project team to achieve profit goals and to control budget and costs
- Assist with project management activities including coordinating Requests for Information (RFIs); review and distribution of product submittals, shop drawings; project documentation, deliveries, procurement; manage the procurement log
- Coordinate receipt and distribution of all records, close-out and warranty documentation for projects
- Work with project management software, scheduling software and other software (BIM, Plan Grid) to successfully execute projects
- Support field staff in enforcing quality on project during field inspections
- Update project schedules and work with team to complete project on schedule
- Maintain successful client relationships
- Mentor new team members
- Responsible for engaging in opportunities to increase professional growth and development and maintaining training requirements

Pay
$80,000 - $90,000 per year
