Assistant Project Manager / Project Site Coördinator – Dynamisch Verkeermanagement

About the role

You will be the central figure in various projects involving the installation of dynamic traffic management systems on Flemish roads and tunnels, ensuring project follow-up. You will maintain close contact with clients, site managers, colleagues, and your Project Manager. On a project, you coordinate and control project-related activities such as installation, project controlling, safety, and quality, always in collaboration with and supported by the Project Manager.

During your learning trajectory, you will take on different roles and responsibilities across projects with the goal of growing within the organization. Projects are primarily located in the Antwerp region, focusing on the installation of LED boards, supports, and gantries.

Responsibilities

• Manage communication with clients and collaborate efficiently with colleagues internally
• Handle necessary project administration
• Prepare safety dossiers and project plans
• Attend site meetings
• Create technical sheets, budgets, and measurement statements
• Maintain and prepare measurement statements
• Prepare execution dossiers
• Issue and request purchase orders
• Monitor defects and malfunctions, both administratively and in execution

Requirements

• Master’s degree in electromechanics or electrical engineering
• First experience in a technical project environment is an asset but not required
• Work accurately with numbers and have knowledge of Excel and other Office packages
• Demonstrate perseverance to meet deadlines
• Work well both collaboratively and independently
• Detect problems and propose solutions effectively
• Strong communicator with a customer-oriented mindset and initiative-taking attitude
• Category B driver’s license
