About the role
We are a family run and operated contractor that has over 40 years of experience in the Greater Philadelphia market. We have been a part of most major projects in the area and have a great reputation of getting the work done correctly. We are well versed in all types of Civil projects from deep excavation, sitework, utilities and heavy highway.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing all stages of project life cycles, from conception to completion, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.
- Developing comprehensive project plans, detailing project schedules and cost estimates, and coordinating with internal teams and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects.
- Conducting site visits and preparing detailed reports on project status, while ensuring all work complies with quality standards and safety regulations.
- Negotiating contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
- Providing expert advice on equipment, materials, and processes for sitework and demolition projects.
- Implementing effective quality control processes to monitor all project activities and ensure high-quality execution.
- Identifying potential challenges and proactively proposing effective solutions.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, focusing on sitework.
- Exceptional knowledge of construction processes, equipment, materials, and project management principles.
- Proven experience in negotiation and managing contracts with vendors and suppliers.
- Strong expertise in quality control, ensuring all project activities comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Excellent ability to estimate costs and develop project plans.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in project management software tools.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and work collaboratively with a team.
- A relevant degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
