Assistant Project Manager - PreConstruction
About the role
Support Project Managers with pre-construction planning and execution for renewable energy and power generation projects.
Assist with project schedules, budgets, cost estimates, scopes of work, and development plans.
Capture and track project action items, deliverables, decisions, risks, and key milestones.
Coordinate with developers, owners, utilities, engineers, EPC contractors, and other project stakeholders.
Support site due diligence, permitting, interconnection, constructability, and development activities.
Aid in reviewing engineering documents, drawings, specifications, estimates, and project schedules.
Aid in preparing bid packages, procurement strategies, and project execution plans.
Participate in project meetings and help maintain clear communication between internal teams, clients, consultants, and contractors.
Aid in identifying project risks and developing mitigation strategies.
Support the transition of projects from pre-construction into construction.
Prepare project updates, presentations, reports, and other decision-support materials for clients and leadership.

Requirements
You have 2+ years of experience in project management, construction, engineering, energy, or infrastructure.
You have an interest in renewable energy, power generation, and large-scale infrastructure projects.
Experience with solar PV, BESS, wind, or other energy projects is preferred but not required.
You are highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and project workstreams.
You have strong attention to detail and are comfortable working with project schedules, budgets, spreadsheets, and technical documentation.
You have strong written and verbal communication skills and are comfortable working with clients, contractors, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
You are comfortable learning new project management tools and systems.
You have a basic understanding of construction means and methods and an interest in developing deeper expertise in pre-construction and project delivery.
You are willing to travel periodically to project sites and client locations.
You are based in or willing to relocate to Las Vegas, NV or Phoenix, AZ.
Qualifications
