About the role
As an Assistant Project Manager within our Pre-Construction Services group, you’ll support the planning and development of renewable energy and power generation projects from early-stage feasibility through construction readiness. Projects may include utility-scale solar PV, battery energy storage, wind, and other renewable and power generation infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers with pre-construction planning and execution for renewable energy and power generation projects.
- Aid with project schedules, budgets, cost estimates, scopes of work, and development plans.
- Coordinate with developers, owners, utilities, engineers, EPC contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Track project action items, deliverables, decisions, risks, and key milestones.
- Support site due diligence, permitting, interconnection, constructability, and development activities.
- Assist with reviewing engineering documents, drawings, specifications, estimates, and project schedules.
- Help develop bid packages, procurement strategies, and project execution plans.
- Participate in project meetings and maintain clear communication between internal teams, clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Support the transition of projects from pre-construction into construction.
- Prepare project updates, presentations, reports, and other decision-support materials for clients and leadership.
- Travel to project sites and client meetings as needed.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in project management, construction, engineering, energy, or infrastructure.
- An interest in renewable energy, power generation, and large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Experience with solar PV, BESS, wind, or other energy projects is preferred but not required.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and project workstreams.
- Strong attention to detail and comfortable working with project schedules, budgets, spreadsheets, and technical documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfortable working with clients, contractors, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel periodically to project sites and client locations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Skills
- Basic understanding of construction means and methods.
