Assistant Project Manager - Multifamily Construction

Our client is a multifamily general contractor with a strong reputation in their space, established as a true leader. They have supported the New Haven, CT market for years and have several projects pending or breaking ground soon. This role is open due to growth, as the company is in expansion mode to sustain recent project wins.

About the role

Support the planning and execution of multifamily construction projects from start to finish. Work closely with project teams to manage schedules, budgets, communication, and additional filings for multiple projects. Bring knowledge and experience within the multifamily space and add value from day one.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project managers to plan and execute construction projects.
• Monitor project timelines and budgets to ensure milestones are met on schedule and within cost parameters.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to maintain smooth project progress.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports and schedules.
• Assist in resolving any issues or challenges that arise during the construction process.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards on all project sites.
• Contribute to effective communication among project team members and stakeholders.
• Support the procurement process by sourcing materials and managing vendor relationships.

Requirements

• Familiarity with construction processes and property development projects.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Experience with project management tools and software.

Pay

Competitive salary range of $90,000 to $120,000.
