Assistant Project Manager, Mission Critical

About the role

The Assistant Project Manager supports statewide construction projects and serves as a subject matter expert (SME) for project technology. Responsibilities include project audits, training new hires, coordinating with teams, managing document control, and participating in cost control efforts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct project audits
• Train new hires on project-related technologies and tools
• Cook up and coordinate with architectural, engineering, and other professional teams
• Aid in scheduling subcontractor manpower and material deliveries
• Review and process submittals and RFIs (Requests for Information)
• Participate in cost control efforts and budget tracking
• Manage document control processes and track changes to contract documents
• Perform quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) inspections of installed materials
• Assist in punch list development and prepare project close-out documentation
• Collaborate with the team on safety management initiatives
• Maintain organized records and documentation with a strong attention to detail

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial construction (e.g., Construction Clerk, Project Engineer)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with CMiC is a plus
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
