About the role
The company is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the successful planning, execution, and delivery of major infrastructure and transportation projects throughout the NYC metro area. This individual will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, owners, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, owners, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement logs, meeting minutes, and project documentation.
- Coordinate effectively with owners, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and field operations teams.
- Manage project administration, scheduling, budgeting, cost tracking, and contract management.
- Show strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and project controls.
Requirements
- 4–7+ years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or related construction management role.
- Experience working on heavy civil, transportation, transit, rail, aviation, public works, or infrastructure projects.
- Previous involvement with public-sector agencies such as MTA, NYCT, LIRR, Metro-North, Port Authority, Amtrak, DOT, DDC, or similar organizations is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of project administration, scheduling, budgeting, cost tracking, and contract management.
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and project controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field preferred.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
