Assistant Project Manager (Land Development – Civil Engineering) | Red Bank, NJ | Bohler

About the role

You’ll gain the experience and confidence to manage complex site design projects, while helping shape the communities where you live and work across the Jersey Shore.

What You’ll Do

• Support project management activities, including project scoping, proposals, schedules, and resource planning
• Oversee preparation of comprehensive site plan packages—grading, stormwater management, utility design, and erosion and sediment control
• Coverage permitting and entitlement approval processes with clients, municipalities, and agencies
• Prepare contracts, change orders, and client invoices while tracking financial performance
• Collaborate with clients, attorneys, contractors, and subconsultants to ensure project success
• Review concept drawings and cost estimates aligned with client objectives
• Participate in public hearings, community meetings, and professional organizations
• Mentor junior staff and share technical knowledge to promote team growth

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• 6+ years of experience in site design and jurisdictional permitting for residential, commercial, or industrial projects
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and drainage software such as StormCAD, Hydroflow, or HydroCAD; skilled in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Microsoft Project
• Strong communication, organization, and project management skills
• Experience working directly with clients and project teams
• Professional Engineer (PE) license beneficial

Pay and Benefits

• Actual compensation within this range will be determined based on factors such as skills, qualifications, and experience.
• The base pay range for this role is $105,000 – $125,000 per year.
