About the role
Responsible for on-site supervision of construction and maintenance projects, handling all construction and post-construction issues. Ensures quality compliance at all levels, executes work as per design and contract awarded by the Engineering Department, and oversees quality assurance at the site.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction site activities to ensure work is completed as per specifications.
- Ensure smooth progress and timely completion of projects within budget and quality standards.
- Execute maintenance work as per TCF standards and scope.
- Report cost and scope variance at the site in case of deviation observed.
- Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQs) and Bar Bending Schedules (BBS).
- Ensure construction is carried out according to required design and quality.
- Conduct land surveys in coordination with region/area teams within assigned districts and prepare land survey reports.
- Supervise new construction and maintenance works.
- Ensure timely completion of milestones and follow up with contractors in case of delays.
- Oversee verification of bills and validation of compliance to TCF drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Check and record measurements of work done at the site.
- Conduct soil testing and other quality-related testing as per contract conditions.
- Prepare punch lists after field inspection.
- Prepare and present timely reports to the line manager in case of any change in scope or cost.
- Carry out any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager.
Requirements
- Knowledge of soil, topography, and structural designs.
- Ability to interpret and read architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing drawings.
- Skilled in construction methods, materials, and safety practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office and construction management software.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering, BTech, or DAE.
Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in building construction for BE Civil Engineer.
- Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience in building construction for BTech.
- Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience in building construction for DAE.
Knowledge of quantity surveying (BOQ & BBS) is preferred.
