Description
The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for:
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, field teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Serving as a liaison between Project Managers and field teams, ensuring successful project execution, quality control, and client satisfaction.
- Coordinating with Superintendents and project teams to ensure successful project execution, quality control, and client satisfaction.
- Managing project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and closeout documentation.
- Maintaining organized project files and ensuring all documentation follows company standards and procedures.
- Tracking outstanding items, proactively following up with project partners, and helping keep projects on schedule.
- Aiding in subcontractor invoicing, payment applications, and coordination with the accounting team.
- Developing a comprehensive understanding of project budgets, schedules, drawings, contracts, and procurement strategies.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, procedures, and overall project efficiency.
- Serving as a resource for multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced team environment.
Profile
- A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial construction project coordination, assistant project management, or related roles.
- Experience supporting commercial interiors, hospitality, restaurant, retail, or historic renovation projects is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Experience with construction management software such as Procore is preferred.
- Familiarity with project scheduling tools including Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 is a plus.
- Experience using Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat, or similar document management software is advantageous.
- A self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and commitment to client service.
