Assistant Project Manager - Commercial HVAC

The Assistant Project Manager role is a full-time position supporting Project Managers and Project Executives. This role involves coordinating and supervising staff from multiple departments throughout the project lifecycle, acting as the primary on-site customer contact, assisting with project planning, budgeting, tracking, cost control, change orders, and contract administration. Other responsibilities include supporting estimating, conceptual design, proposal preparation, presentations, and contract negotiations, maintaining project documentation, fostering relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams, and helping develop new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience assisting or managing HVAC/plumbing construction projects or experience in estimating, design, and management of projects ranging from $50k to $25M+
• BS in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management preferred but not required
• Strong project management, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to handle high-volume issues
• Experience with budgeting, cost control, and preparing project documentation
• Proven communication, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities; comfortable working across departments and project sites
