Description
The Assistant Project Manager will:
- Support Project Managers with the daily execution of public and commercial construction projects
- Aid in maintaining project schedules, budgets, and cost tracking reports
- Coordinate RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Aid with bid solicitation, subcontractor buyout, and procurement activities
- Track permits, inspections, and regulatory requirements
- Build and maintain relationships with architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and owners
- Attend project meetings and prepare meeting minutes and follow-up action items
- Aid with contract administration and compliance requirements for public projects
- Assist with payment applications, invoice processing, and financial reporting
- Maintain oversight of project progress and help identify potential issues impacting schedule or budget
- Aid with quality assurance and quality control efforts throughout the project lifecycle
- Afford support during project closeout, punch-list completion, and turnover documentation
Profile
- 1-4 years of construction experience with a General Contractor, Construction Manager, or related construction firm
- Experience on commercial, public, education, healthcare, municipal, or institutional projects preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
- Understanding of construction documents, RFIs, submittals, and project coordination processes
- Familiarity with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
- Desire to advance into a Project Manager role
