Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Construction

Description

Assist in developing detailed project plans, timelines, and schedules.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
Ensure alignment of project aspects with stakeholder's expectations.
Maintain project documentation, including contracts, permits, and daily logs.
Prepare and distribute regular progress reports to the project manager and stakeholders.
Aid in tracking project budgets and expenditures.
Help in preparing cost estimates and forecasts.
Help develop and update project schedules.
Provide on-site support to the project manager and site supervisors.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field
• At least a full year of experience as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager in commercial construction
• Strong follow through, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate project needs before they become problems
• Comfortable supporting schedule updates, cost tracking, procurement, and change management processes
• Works well under pressure, adapts quickly, and remains solutions oriented in a fast-paced environment
• Eager to learn, open to mentorship, and driven to grow into a future Project Manager

Qualifications

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Experience with project management software such as Primavera or Microsoft Project
