About the role
The Assistant Project Manager will join HDR’s Building Engineering Services Group in Charlotte, NC. This role focuses on client development and project delivery, particularly for facilities design of datacenters, office spaces, manufacturing sites, and tenant upfits.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of various projects from upfront planning and pre-design activities through detail design, construction support, and commissioning.
- Manage multi-disciplinary design teams from project conception to completion.
- Coordinate workload through project execution and ensure deliverables are completed on budget and schedule.
- Work closely with local Project Managers and the global client management team.
- Perform other duties as needed, including coordinating work of single or multidiscipline teams throughout the project's life cycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 5 years related experience
- Ability to interact with various design teams
- Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in HDR’s employee-owned culture
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification or PE license
- Familiarity and/or experience with Revit, AutoCAD, BIM360 Docs, BIM360 Field, AutoDesk Construction Cloud, and Bluebeam
- MS Office and MS Project experience (Access experience would be plus)
- Familiarity with Google communication products (gDrive, Chat, Docs, Sheets, and Slides)
