Duties & Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers with day-to-day project tasks to maintain customer relationships and project schedules as needed.
- Tracking drawings throughout the drawing approval process all the way to fabrication.
- Maintain and update all structural and miscellaneous drawing logs.
- Work with outside vendors to keep buyout items on track.
- Develop project specific reports or lists to help facilitate the project.
- Aid in updating and maintaining Structural and Misc. Metals Shop production schedules.
- Keep Procore and the Project Management Drive updated and organized.
- Maintain the print room including ordering supplies for the print room.
- Ensure all drawings are printed and sent out to meet the needs of the company.
- Participate and contribute to critical project meetings.
- Communicate with all other departments internally.
- Update and help develop departmental procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering, preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- The ability to read and understand structural drawings.
- Basic math skills and technical writing skills required.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with all levels in the organization, Customers and Vendors.
- Must be able to work in a collaborative environment and to perform positively in high conflict situations.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Project Management Software, and pdf editors.
- Develops effective working relationships, which foster integrity, trust, and respect.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to work through bid process, addressing customer needs and requests, and balancing business needs.
Working Conditions
- This is a full-time position, and the hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Some flexibility in hours is allowed, which needs to be discussed and approved by the department Manager in advance and must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status.
- This position may require long hours and frequent local travel.
Pay
Competitive wages.
