About the role

The Assistant Project Manager for Substation Construction will support the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and overseeing the successful execution of power distribution projects. This role involves ensuring that project milestones are met, budgets are maintained, and quality standards are upheld throughout all phases of the project. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with multiple teams and clients to facilitate clear communication and resolve any project-related issues efficiently. This position will be in office at minimum 4 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and documentation.
  • Cook up with stakeholders to ensure timely completion of project deliverables.
  • Keep track of project progress and offer regular updates to the Project Manager.
  • Support procurement and logistics for materials and equipment needed for power distribution systems.
  • Manage subcontractors and vendors to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
  • Participate in site inspections and quality assurance checks.
  • Identify potential risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • Have 1-3 years of experience in power distribution, construction, or project management.
  • Show strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Show excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Show proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Show knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Show highly skilled in Excel, Microsoft Project, P6 Scheduling, and other project management tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.

Qualifications

Pay

The salary range for this position is $85,000- $110,000 annually. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.

Schedule

This position will be in office at minimum 4 days a week.
