About the role
The Department of Defense (DoD) Test Resource Management Center (TRMC) seeks a Project Analyst to support the modernization of hypersonic test infrastructure. This is a newly established effort where the ideal candidate will contribute significantly to the creation of a successful team.
Responsibilities
- Perform Project Management tasks: Maintain project status, escalate issues, communicate with the Project Manager
- Contribute to project office knowledge management: Document lessons learned, best practices
- Assist with project planning: Develop entry and exit criteria for technical and milestone reviews
- Evaluate contractor deliverables: Ensure accuracy and completeness
- Prepare and disseminate briefings and reports: For the Project Lead, Government COR, and PMO
- Generate and maintain processes: Evaluate and monitor technical performance
- Prepare and disseminate meeting minutes: For all project meetings
- Support the Financial Manager: Document and disseminate spend plans, allocate funds, track costs
- Contribute to long-term planning: Draft management documents, such as SOW, TCRD, SEP
- Participate in technical reviews: System Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR), CDR, IPT meetings, TIMs, PMRs
- Adhere to administrative and sensitive data protection guidelines
- Follow DoD/TRMC records management requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of professional experience associated with project management, knowledge/data management, systems engineering, or similar
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills with elements of project management (Cost, Schedule, Performance, etc.)
- Experience as part of a multi-disciplinary project management team
- Familiarity with project life cycle stages for technical projects
- Demonstrated experience collecting, organizing, examining, and interpreting data
- Experience developing, monitoring, improving organizational, procedural, and operational systems
- Demonstrated experience with Risk, Issue, and Opportunity Management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience writing technical reports and briefings
- Familiarity with the structure of the U.S. DoD and Military Services
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Software
- A strong desire to learn and problem-solve
- Organized, detail-orientated, and able to multi-task
- Self-driven and able to work with limited direct supervision
Desired Skills
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or equivalent
- Knowledge of NARA and DoD Records Management policy and procedures
- FAR knowledge and experience with Government contracting
- Experience with Systems Engineering processes
- Experience with Test and Evaluation (T&E)
- Experience with hypersonic test and evaluation concepts and infrastructure
