About the role

As an Electrical Assistant Project Manager (APM) at Loenbro, you will be an essential part of our project team leading the delivery of next-generation hyperscale and AI data center campuses supporting cloud, AI, and high-performance computing workloads. This role provides full lifecycle ownership of mission-critical infrastructure projects from site development through commissioning and turnover, along with successful execution of several projects. You’ll work closely with Project Managers, gaining valuable experience and contributing to the project’s overall success.

Responsibilities

  • Close support for the senior project management team.
  • Develop project management techniques to ensure schedule requirements are met.
  • Initiate and track change orders using a log.
  • Act as a liaison between the field management team and owner in all scope changes.
  • Provide close support and oversight of third-tier subcontractors.
  • Assist in creating and enforcing the project budget.
  • Assist in creating and submitting the Schedule of Values (SOV).
  • Oversee Project Engineers in the processing of Requests for Information (RFIs), Submittals, quantity takeoffs, and material tracking.
  • Oversee the project-closeout process to ensure all documentation is submitted to the owner.
  • Close support of the Quality Control team throughout electrical construction and commissioning.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent and 3+ years of proven project management experience in the electrical construction industry required.
  • Experience in mission-critical data center construction is encouraged.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field is encouraged.
  • Prior experience utilizing Microsoft 365 and PM software and tools such as Accubid and Bluebeam is encouraged.
  • National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 70E or OSHA Certification is encouraged.

Skills

  • Proficiency with project management software.
  • Knowledge of CAD/BIM software.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and industry standards is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Ability to safely walk and navigate active job sites, including uneven terrain, stairs, ladders, and other jobsite access points.
  • Working outside and at the job site most of the time in different climates.
  • On-site, indoor office setting with controlled temperature.
  • Frequent visits to outdoor construction sites with exposure to weather extremes.
  • Potential exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, or other environmental factors.
  • Ability to use ladders, scaffolding, stairs, and lifts at commercial or industrial properties.
  • Compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
