Assistant Project Manager

About the role

As an Assistant Project Manager at ISG, a forward-thinking architecture and engineering firm since 1973, you’ll support dynamic projects across multiple business units, working alongside industry-leading experts to ensure timelines, budgets, and client expectations are met with precision.

Essential Duties

• Collaborate closely with Project Managers to support project execution, maintain clear communication with clients, resolve issues, assess risks, and navigate strategic and operational challenges
• Coordinate and facilitate project kickoff meetings, ensuring progress is tracked and maintained throughout the project lifecycle
• Take ownership of meeting minutes and ensure timely follow-up on action items to keep teams aligned and accountable
• Serve as a key point of contact for project-related inquiries, organizing and preparing discussions with the project lead
• Manage and consolidate progress documentation, ensuring alignment with project timelines and assisting in strategic planning with the project lead
• Support construction administration by coordinating submittals such as shop drawings, RFIs, and other documentation
• Demonstrate adaptability and a proactive mindset; ready to pivot when needed and always willing to step up to support the team and project success

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• 1-5 years of experience in architecture, engineering, or construction-related fields preferred
• Average Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in a relevant discipline
• Strong organizational and communication skills—essential for success in this role
• Demonstrated ownership mentality with a proactive, solution-oriented approach
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% to ISG offices, client sites, or training sessions
