Education/Certifications
Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business or other related field (or equivalent years’ experience).
Key Responsibilities
- Aid the project manager in project planning, project scheduling, cost monitoring, and cost control.
- Negotiate/procure subcontractors/suppliers.
- Effectively draft memos, reports and documents.
- Write letters to subcontractors and vendors.
- Communicate project requirements to subcontractors and vendors.
- Understand and update the CPM schedule by interacting with the MLJ project team and scheduler.
- Aid in the preparation and negotiation of change orders.
- Review amplified drawings for changes and clarifications.
- Meet with members of the Owner’s team to administer day-to-day activities such as planning access and preparing work plans and safe work plans.
- Perform any other duties as required.
Qualifications of the Position
- Heavy Civil Bridge/Site experience preferred.
- CTDOT and other public agency experience highly preferred.
- 8+ years of prior civil construction experience.
- Possess solid analytical skills.
- Effective time management skills.
- Willingness to grow and learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to take on more responsibility over a period of time.
Benefits
Final compensation will be based on a combination of relevant work experience, education, project size, project location, required working hours, candidate subject matter expertise and/or specialty, and ability to be approved by agencies/owners as required. Final salary determination is negotiable.
