Responsibilities
- Assists the project manager in facilitating and controlling the flow of information on the project.
- Supports and facilitates field operations.
- Writes subcontracts and manages the buy-out process with all subcontractors.
- Prepares initial project budget with direct supervision from senior staff.
- Manages document change order process.
- Determines permitting requirements and assists in the permitting process.
- Covers SWPPP Documents with SWPPP Coordinator and ensures fully executed SWPPP books are in the appropriate locations before project begins.
- Reviews plans and specifications with the project team for constructability issues and documents with the design team.
- Aids in the creation of a baseline project schedule with senior project management staff and the superintendent.
- Analyzes schedule updates, identifying areas of actual and potential variance, and communicates an action plan to the project team.
- Conducts subcontractor coordination meetings with no supervision from the PM or superintendent.
- Conducts Owner/Architect/Contractor coordination meetings, including creating an agenda, with limited supervision from the Project Manager or Superintendent.
- Verifies that all standard and special inspections have been completed and documented.
- Processes monthly cost projections according to established corporate procedures.
- Maintains oversight of the project engineer managing the submittal/procurement process.
