About the role

In this role, you will assist the Project Manager in providing overall administrative and technical direction on projects. You will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the field team, analyzing and pricing change orders, representing the company, managing financial aspects, and overseeing subcontractors.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in planning, organizing, and managing the field team with the Project Manager and Estimator
  • Analyze and price out change orders
  • Aid the Project Manager in establishing project objectives
  • Represent Griffith Company by initiating and maintaining liaison with primary owner representatives
  • Avoid financial aspects of the contract, including job cost reports, billings, budget changes, change orders, accounts payable processing and collections
  • Avoid the overall management of the financial aspects of the contract, including job cost reports, billings, budget changes, change orders, accounts payable processing and collections
  • Avoid assisting with the overall management of the financial aspects of the contract, including job cost reports, billings, budget changes, change orders, accounts payable processing and collections
  • Avoid assisting the Project Manager with the establishment of project objectives
  • Avoid representing Griffith Company by initiating and maintaining liaison with primary owner representatives
  • Avoid assisting with the overall management of the financial aspects of the contract, including job cost reports, billings, budget changes, change orders, accounts payable processing and collections
  • Avoid managing job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget, schedule, forecasting and job costing
  • Avoid supervising, directing, and mentoring project engineering staff to ensure individual development and that project standards are met
  • Avoid coordinating multi-phases and tasks of construction including the management and scheduling of subcontractors, vendors and suppliers as well as any self-performed work
  • Avoid providing support to Project Manager
  • Avoid reviewing project proposal or plan to determine time frame, funding limitations and procedures for accomplishing project
  • Avoid participating in the preparation of project reports for management and owners
  • Avoid assisting Project Superintendents and Foremen in scheduling work
  • Avoid reviewing timesheets
  • Avoid providing safety and quality control management
  • Avoid maintaining accurate forecasting and management of project budgets
  • Avoid managing subcontractors and project team (subordinates)
  • Avoid resolving problems involving labor disputes, material deliveries and contracts/subcontract administration
  • Avoid assisting Project Manager with the oversight of document control and coordination of subcontractors
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience
  • Strong work ethic and excellent time management skills
  • Excellent writing, presentation, and computer skills
  • Proficient in Build2Win
  • Familiar with Contract Accounting
  • Understanding of time impact analysis and time related overhead
  • Understanding of critical path and track delays
  • Valid driver’s license

Physical Demands

  • Frequent standing and walking at construction jobsites
  • Frequent sitting for extended periods of time

Annual Salary Range

$105,000 - $125,000

Relocation Assistance

Relocation assistance will be provided to candidates outside of the local area on a case-by-case basis.
