Assistant Project Manager
About the role
GARNEY is seeking an Assistant Project Manager with experience in the Water and Waste-Water Construction Industry.
Responsibilities
- Process and review shop drawings
- Work with the project scheduling system
- Perform detailed drafting
- Serve as owner and architect/engineer contact
- Purchase materials
- Survey construction job site
- Update as-built documents
- Oversee job site safety
- Track, audit, and project labor hours
- Cookordinate subcontractors
- Complete daily and periodic report updates
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or another related field
- 4 - 7 years of construction experience
- Willing to travel
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Skills
- Construction management software proficiency
- Project scheduling systems knowledge
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
