Assistant Project Manager
About the role
An Assistant Project Manager plays a crucial role in the successful execution of electrical construction projects. Reporting to the Project or Group Manager, this position supports the management process from bid stage through project completion.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Project Manager throughout the bid stage to completion.
- Ensure long lead materials such as electrical and mechanical gear, fabrication, and submittals are released and tracked to meet project timelines and budgets.
- Contact vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Participate in scheduling activities to create milestones and production labor breakdowns.
- Attend and contribute to weekly project-specific sync meetings to address project needs and monitor team performance.
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders including production teams, VSL, customers, and general contractors to maintain project progress and promote safety.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1-2 years of construction, electrical, or manufacturing experience.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of construction management principles and practices.

Pay
Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
This position typically works between 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday through Friday. However, flexibility may be necessary to accommodate project needs.
